See What Show (video): interview with Director Ang Lee about Lust, Caution

See What Show week of 27 September 2007: I interview Academy Award-winning director Ang Lee (李安) about his new movie, “Lust, Caution”. Lee talks about the set, his choice of Tang Wei as the lead, the negative Western film reviews, and censorship. And no, he did NOT cut 30 minutes off for the China version of the movie. It was less than that.

In the upcoming projects front, he clarifies that he is NOT working on The Hand of Shang Chi, based on the Marvel comic.

Watch the interview and find out from the man himself.

(Available in mp4 and Youtube formats)

Note: The mp4 video file is 20.2mb but it is clearer than the Youtube one.

Am impressed. This is better than many mainstream movie reviews. Now i am really interested to see the movie

Great interview! Yeah i heard about the Shang Chi movie rumor before myself. Guess he must have turned it down?

Anyway, i love what he says about people being intelligent enough to discern. The man truly respects his audience. I love that!

Definitely has won my support with this interview!
