    Well, I watched the steve martin one first and I found it funnier than the peter sellers one in a much more slapstick way. The original wasn't as funny, partly because closeau had half a brain in that one.

    haha.. i think that was the simple joy of it.. peter sellers will always be very dead pan in his portrayal of the inspector.

    steve martin, i love his standup and all, but in the new pink panther, he was a tad over the top.

    but thats just me :)

    the original will always have that kinda class and cool-ness for me.
