Spiderman 3 to me was the worst of the whole trilogy so far.. being a fan of Venom, it was rather disappointing that they squeezed him in the last part of the show. I was expecting Venom to be formed at the end, leading into a fresh story which could be played out in 4, much like the Joker teaser at the end of Batman Begins. Furthermore, the show was not well constructed, felt rushed. However on another note, Sandman's character was fleshed out well.

Agree with yfkk. I've actually played the official game tie-in for the movie and found that the Spiderman in the game was more Spiderman than the Spiderman in the movie.

The game one had wisecracks, that's important. But of course story wise...

Anyway the movie was okay for me. It didn't take me the whole movie to realise the words of the day...

Of course the fighting sequences were great. As for the characters, I've got problems with the characters, not the acting.

Venom as a character was a big, big disappointment comparing to what I had expected after finding out Venom was in the movie in the first place. Before you saw any more of him after the transformation, it's already the final showdown. And the way he was killed... Not cool. Lastly, getting a skinny guy to play Brock still doesn't feel right.

Gwen Stacy was laughable. Her character was so minor she could have been any random girl in Peter's class. I mean her original role is gone in the first place when the first movie started without her, so she's only there because she fits in the whole Eddie Brock to Venom transformation.

All in all, I would've rather take Sandman out so we can have more time for the other two, although ironically, Sandman was the one with the most screen time.

You know I didn't really take notice of the ya's until I saw the comments here and listened to it again.

*chuckle* cut the kiatster some slack.. even seasoned commentators can spout the most cock things. Not particularly disturbed by the SNF music-and-dance skit, but it is abit out of place with the sharper humour from the first two Spideys. <b>But can't agree S3 is the best of the lot. Best fight sequences yes (wah lau, the goblin dogfight is flight simulator material), but given the superb editing, the movie could/should still add another 10-15mins of meatier character bkgrd for Sandman (like err.. show his daughter for 1min and then..?) & Venom (which will probably come out in Spidey 3.1 DVD, dammit). Great flick but could have been even better for $250m.(Mebbe damn studio execs chickened out again)

Agree strongly that Mary Jane should just be written out of the script (e.g. marry a loser and live in a trailer park, or something). Her subplot dragged 1/2 of spidey 2 down and now almost does the same to 3.

I think too, that Kiat is OK.
Let him grow up, like Spidey has done
across 3 movies (& decades of
comic issues).

We feel that the movie's
character acting is already rather good, unlike Life!'s newspaper review.

Again, we disagree with
film reviewers.

And the corny humour fits just right,
side by side with the darker themes,
thank you.

Mary Jane a slut? Then what about
the many attached men out there,
who can't keep their attention off
other women, including those who
watch Spider-man, mainly for
the ladies? All you male sluts
out there, look at yourselves!

And too much justification for
villains as being only human?
Well, I'm sick of ultra-black
bad guys & super-white heroes,
when the world's basically populated
with real people who are gray
in-between.

That seems to be the problem with
much American media culture
these days, all that us-or-them
mentality.

So it is refreshing to have
Harry Osborn's sacrifice of love,
and Flint Marko's (Sandman's)
apology, without being locked away again (so soon).

Thanks again, mrbrown & Kiat,
for sharing your movie opinions
with us, and letting us do the same
i return.
